Foshan Fosun Chancheng Hospital (abbreviated as “Foshan Chancheng Hospital”) is a for-profit joint-stock tertiary A comprehensive hospital located at No. 3 Sanyou South Road, Chancheng District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. Currently, Hu Hang serves as its Chairman and Xie Dazhi as its Lifelong President. It has a planned capacity of 1,750 beds and employs over 2,900 staff. The hospital features key specialized departments such as the Spinal Surgery Department, Department of Urology, and Women and Children’s Center. It is equipped with the da Vinci Surgical System and holds the qualification under the Hong Kong and Macao Drug and Medical Device Access Policy.
The hospital originated from the Shiwan United Clinic founded in 1958, undergoing multiple restructuring processes: it was renamed Foshan Second People’s Hospital in 1972, changed to Shiwan District People’s Hospital in 1985, and was accredited as a Secondary A Hospital in 1992. Following institutional reforms in 2004, the 80,000-square-meter Jingjin Building was completed in 2013, and a unanimous resolution was passed to join the Fosun Group. The hospital was upgraded to a Tertiary A Hospital in 2011, obtained JCI International Certification in 2018, and passed its Tertiary A Hospital Re-accreditation in 2022. In 2025, it added an Ultrasound Interventional Diagnosis and Treatment Center and the Nansha Fosun Chancheng Medical Center.
In the medical field, it issued Foshan’s first prescription for Romosozumab in 2024 and performed da Vinci Robotic Surgery on a 2-month-old infant in 2025. In the same year, it received the Health Science Popularization Excellence Communication Award. Currently, the hospital oversees 2 main campuses and 5 community health service institutions, with a total building area of 180,000 square meters.
